RECONNECTING IN THE NEW YEAR!
January 24, 2017

Take a look at SNP’s January menus and you might notice new items making an appearance. January’s weather calls for comfort food and we’ve created several fantastic lunches to keep our students cozy and warm during these “cold” winter months. My three favorites (in no particular order):

Turkey Meatloaf, made from scratch, served with mashed potatoes and gravy. A healthier take on this diner classic, the turkey is well seasoned, hand formed in individual portions and baked to perfection. And mashed potatoes and gravy? Who doesn’t love ‘em?

Citrus Chicken with Brown Rice and veggies is destined to become an SNP classic. Drumsticks are marinated in fresh lemon, lime, and orange juice, seasoned with fresh herbs, and roasted until golden brown to create a tangy twist on a standard drumstick that students will devour.

The SNP chefs have come up with a fabulous recipe for a deconstructed chicken pot pie. The “Chicken ‘n Gravy” is loaded with chicken meat, sautéed carrots, and peas and simmered in a traditional gravy. Any remnants can be soaked up with a fresh whole grain dinner roll!

Our menus are constantly evolving and reflect the seasons. These new entrees have gone through rigorous recipe testing and we’re certain students will taste our commitment to providing them with delicious food. In the coming months, more new entrees will launch including “Loaded Nachos” with chicken, beans, and salsa made in our kitchen as well as new sides like “Chili and Lime Cucumber Salad”.

We are continually looking for ways to improve and welcome feedback from our students and school communities. Reach out via social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) or drop us a call or email.

Bring it 2017!
