Edith Pabon-Tapia brings to the team strong communication, foodservice and managerial skills. In addition to the education she received at Los Angeles Mission College's Culinary Program and New England Culinary Institute, she also holds a Bachelors Degree in Restaurant and Hospitality Management. During her 7 years as a Food Service Manager for Vaughn Next Century Learning Center, she was instrumental in improving the food service department by increasing funding through increased meal counts and obtaining grants, as well as developing a HACCP program. Furthermore, she enjoys continually learning and growing as she has earned certificates and completed courses in a variety of areas. These include beverage and restaurant management, professional cooking and baking, catering, and nutrition. Having children of her own, Edith is passionate about working with, and educating, children to make healthy meal choices.
